Ring sizer how to find the right size

How to measure your finger to find the right ring size:

You can do it in 3 ways :

- measuring the diameter of your ring
- measuring the circumference of your finger
- converting your US or EU size (e.g. Pandora rings) to ITA size (MS Store rings)

IMPORTANT:

The measurement methods are different, be very careful not to confuse the diameter of a ring with its circumference.

1. MEASURE THE DIAMETER

Take a ring of your own and make sure to place it on the finger you want to wear your new ring on.

Place the ring on a ruler or tape measure and measure the two furthest points of the internal space.

Once you have measured the diameter, consult the table below and find out your size.

In the photo: 16mm = 1.60cm = ITA 10

(MS Store uses ITALIAN sizes)

2. MEASURE THE CIRCUMFERENCE

Wrap ribbon or string around the base of the finger where you will wear the ring.

When you have wrapped it, make a mark with the marker where the two ends meet.

NOTE: Tape should be wrapped snugly around finger. Not too soft nor too tight

circumference-ruler

Place the tape on the ruler or measuring tape and measure the length in millimeters, from the beginning of the tape to the mark made with the marker.

Once you have measured your circumference, consult the table below and find out your size.

3. CONVERT THE MEASUREMENT

You know your size but you don't know what ITA size it corresponds to.

Below you will find the table to convert US and EU sizes to the ITA size of Mama Schwaz.

Tips:

  • It is also possible to determine the finger circumference using a strip of paper (for example, cut the short side of an A4 sheet 1 cm from the edge). Lay out the strip and measure the length that corresponds to your internal circumference.
  • The ring should slide onto the finger without too much difficulty.
  • Take the knuckle into account, if you have a large knuckle, measure both the base of the finger and the knuckle itself and choose a size between the two measurements.
  • Keep in mind that the fingers of the dominant hand are generally larger.
  • Take into account the different seasons and climate changes: in hot periods, hands and fingers tend to swell; on the contrary, in winter the rings could slip.
  • The ring should not be worn too tight, it could disturb circulation.
